Abstract A notion of object ownership is introduced as a solution to difficult problems of specifying and reasoning about complex linked structures and of modeling aggregates (composite objects). Syntax and semantics are provided for extending Eiffel with language support for object ownership annotation and checking. The ideas also apply to other OOPLs such as C++. 1. Overview

Preparation and study of the inhibitory effect of nano-niosomes containing essential oil from artemisia absinthium on amyloid fibril formation

Objective(s): Artemisia absinthium is an aromatic, perennial small shrub that shows multiple medical benefits, including anticancerous, neuroprotective, antifungal, hepatoprotective, antidepressant and antioxidant properties. One of the effective approaches to treat Alzheimer’s disease is targeting amyloid aggregation by antiamyloid drugs. In the current research study, an excellent grouping of...

Categorical foundations for randomly timed automata

The general theory of randomly timed automata is developed: starting with the practical motivation and presentation of the envisaged notion, the categorical theory of minimization, aggregation, encapsulation, interconnection and realization of such automata is worked out. All these constructions are presented universally: minimization and realization as adjunctions, aggregation as product, inte...

Resistance of the tick dermacentor variabilis (Acari: Ixodidae) following challenge with the bacterium Escherichia coli (Enterobacteriales: Enterobacteriaceae).

In addition to a soluble response, many invertebrates control bacterial infections by means of phagocytosis or melanotic encapsulation. In some insects, Escherichia coli growth is reported to be inhibited by aggregation/encapsulation. Soluble and phagocytic responses to bacterial challenge have been reported in ticks, but evidence of an aggregation / encapsulation response was reported only for...

Self-assembled aggregates of rod-coil block copolymers and their solubilization and encapsulation of fullerenes

Amphiphilic poly(phenylquinoline)-block-polystyrene rod-coil diblock copolymers were observed to self-organize into robust, micrometer-scale, spherical, vesicular, cylindrical, and lamellar aggregates from solution. These diverse aggregate morphologies were seen at each composition, but their size scale decreased with a decreasing fraction of the rigid-rod block. Compared to coil-coil block cop...

An empirical study on encapsulation and refactoring in the object-orientated paradigm

ion The concept of abstraction from the perspective of OO SE is a process that involves identifying only crucial aspects of a problem and ignoring the non-essential information and details. Abstract Class An abstract class is a class that can not be instantiated. It contains both attributes and methods, and serves as a base class from which other classes can be derived.Class An abstract class i...

Solubilization and Encapsulation of Fullerenes by Amphiphilic Block Copolymers

Solubilization and encapsulation of fullerenes C60 and C70 by ultralarge hollow micelles formed by rod-coil diblock copolymers and characterization of the resulting self-organized fullerene-block copolymer assemblies are reported. The solubilization capacity of each fullerene in poly(phenylquinoline)-blockpolystyrene (PPQ-PS) micelles in binary solvents, trifluoroacetic acid/dichloromethane, an...
